CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Secure hanging pieces to a sturdy hook or hardware to ensure they won’t fall in case of wind or being bumped into. AVOID suction cups. They are not strong enough to hold stained glass securely.
Take your stained glass pieces inside when it is windy or stormy outside.
Stained glass naturally oxidizes over time, manifesting as a white powdery or stained appearance. It’s best not to leave stained glass outside while it rains.
To clean your piece, avoid abrasive materials such as steel wool. 90% and up rubbing alcohol can be applied to a soft rag to clean your piece. Carnauba car wax can then be applied for polish. Do not put stained glass in the dishwasher.
If you are local to Nacogdoches, you can bring your piece to me free of charge to be cleaned and repolished.
Damaged pieces will be assessed by my discretion on if the damage occurred because of my error. If damage occurred because of my error, repairs will be made for free. If damage occurred because of client error (not secure hanging, the piece being dropped, windy days) then repairs can be made at $25.00/hr. Please email me at cheekchewerproductions@gmail.com with photos and a description of what happened. Please be honest about how the piece was damaged, as I will be honest too. :)
My stained glass pieces are made with 40% lead solder (excluding wearables). Lead is harmful when inhaled or ingested, however washing your hands after touching your piece is adequate precaution.
Lead-free jewelry should not be submerged in water.
Plant stakes should be put into a plant without the actual stained glass piece touching the soil if the plant is an edible.
